OK, then I think we're back to needing another place for the swap. We're dealing with a family emergency at present, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to contact somebody about using the community clubhouse.

Does anybody know of a reserveable picnic shelter?

How does every body feel about moving the date to Saturday, 01-Jun-2024?

I'm fairly sure I can have the place ready by then.

Mary and I are planning to attend (If I don't get sick like last year.) June 1 would be great for us.

Rick, you're my hero!! I don't think we have anything going on that weekend.

Adding, I don't know if I mentioned, but I can bring paper plates/bowls, plasticware (washable or reusable as garden markers!), plastic cups (washable or reusable as plant pots!).

Rick - you are the best! I won't be home from the trip with my parents until that following Monday unfortunately
“Little girl, why are you doing this? You can’t save all these starfish. You can’t begin to make a difference!” After a few moments thought, she bent down, picked up another starfish & hurled it as far as she could into the ocean. Then she looked up at the man and replied, “Well, I made a difference to that one!” Be the change you wish to see in the world. http://www.stillsthatspeak.com...

OK!

I've decided I like the look of the colored "mega heavy duty" 1020 trays from Greenhouse Megastore better than the less expensive black ones. The colored ones are slightly sturdier, but the black ones will still outlast the cheap ones by many years. I have at least 5 totally unused, maybe 5 more slightly used (indoor seed starting, for just a month or two), offering for $4 each. I've been seeing the cheap ones for about $2, and I only get a couple years of use from those.

They'd also make good group "saucers" or gravel humidity trays for indoor plants.

I also have matching size clear humidity domes, the unvented ones (I poke a few holes in them for ventilation), at least 5 totally unused, also $4 each (slightly below cost for both trays and domes). I intended to order the tall ones, but the guy taking my phone order put down the regular ones, and i don't need that many.

domes :https://www.greenhousemegastore.com/products/clear-humidity-dome?_pos=7&_sid=413b61f35&_ss=r

Susan & David: have a wonderful time with your son and family in Singapore. They have now a new airport even better than when I was there. Lots of new things. Even when I was there it was wonderful, very clean----and lots and lots of restaurants-I recommend for you to bring with you Pepto-Bismol pills and take one before each meal, as an appetizer --so you will not have any problems. The bacteria is different in Asia. It was suggested by my doctor then. Maybe you know, since David is an M.D.

Does anyone have food allergies that we should be aware of? Gluten, seafood, tree nuts, etc.

So sorry Sue and Lisa won't be able to join us. That said, your plans sound fun. Hope you enjoy your trips with your families.

You can join the swap remotely if you still have time. We can host the plants for you till you get back.

I cannot make this time. That date is a work day and schedule is thin. Enjoy!
Plant it and they will come.
