Always looking for interesting plants for pollinators and food! Bonus points for highly, and pleasantly scented plants.

1) " that won't grow here."

I won't believe you. Give any plant it's needs and it will be happy anywhere. Is it feasible? Maybe not, but "it's not feasible to grow that here" is a value judgement- not a fact.

2) "beer kill slugs"
Please lets stop this one.
I won't even pretend a plate of beer in my garden is any control over slugs and snails thst eat my lettuce-
besides a few unlucky squishes that get drunk, fall in the beer and drown.

Edit: somebody will point out, alcohol may in fact kill slugs and snails, and the fermentation products in beer may in fact attract some, but I stand by what I said "a plate of beer in my garden is a gimmick, and not a cost-effective or efficient control method for snails and slugs."

Prove me wrong.

There are time lapse videos on YouTube showing slugs coming in for beer pans and crawling back out when finished. Do a few succumb? Sure. Most don't.

Maybe you need to start serving them boilermakers so they get good and drunk when they stop for their Sunday beer.
