Hello! New member here. I have been searching for great maidens blush in vain. Any ideas for sourcing? I'm in Washington state. It seems to be sold out everywhere!

Welcome to the rose forum! And good luck with your search, I'm afraid I can't help.

Welcome ...

Here is a link for the BUY FROM tab on HelpMeFind.com.

I can readily recommend Burlington Rose Nursery or Greenmantle Nursery.

There are several other nurseries listed, so you should be able to find your rose.

Smiles,
Lyn
I'd rather weed than dust ... the weeds stay gone longer.

Christianson's Nursery has Great Maiden's Blush in their 2024 rose list. You can call them to see if it's still available.

Thank you all! Christiansons is even within driving distance so that would be a bonus! I have emails out to all the nurseries you all listed. My rose might be in sight! Have any of you grown it?

Well…disappointed. I've heard back from all the nurseries and it's out of stock. Any other ideas?

Ask if anyone here has an available sucker. If not, then it appears you have to wait.

Ask if that nursery within driving distance still carries it, and get on their waiting list! Burling is very friendly, and I wouldn't hesitate to email her about availability. She doesn't answer all of her phone calls unless she's expecting one from you, but try emailing her. She doesn't have a wait list technically, but...

Great Maiden's Blush is not on the 2024 Burlington list.

My comment about contacting Burling was more to get an idea if she plans to have it in stock any time soon. Also, I often find that the small vendors have some in stock that they don't put on their official availability lists due to low stock. Might be worth asking!

Ok great ideas! I'm on several waiting lists for 2025 after making my million phone calls. I'll post about a possible cutting or sucker. In the meantime I've ordered some other fun roses, Mme Plantier and Duchess de Rohan. I've always been a fruit and veg gardener, more focused on utility and feeding my small kids healthy food. But the history and beauty of antique roses have gotten under my skin after reading a book about them and G Maidens Blush especially!
