Happy Spring to All!
🌱🌼🐇🐞🪻🪺🐣👩🏻‍🌾

Sharing some random news story links I think you'll all enjoy:

Ode to Stumpy - 18:13 mark
The last segment of NBC Nightly News was about a Washington DC Cherry Blossom Tree 🌸 named "Stumpy". Sadly, his final spring. 😩

(The costume is a little much... ?!🤨😆)

Gayle Tales 🐸
A story of "Aggressive Generosity". Also a reminder not to judge a book by it's cover. This woman has had an amazingly accomplished life. I really feel for her daughter and appreciate the interviewer David's closing remarks. 💝 Also... Gayle clearly knows where to find the best cookies... (Aldi 🤫😁)

Captions on or off? I've always wondered who writes the captions for TV shows and movies. I assumed it was some sort of automated process these days?! 🤷🏻‍♀️ Clearly for live TV and some news magazines there is a delay so I assume some other process is used there. I didn't hear it mentioned but I also think a lot of people whose first language is not English use them more often than not. They come in handy for many reasons! I have them on a lot myself (and they're not always accurate 😉...my hearing is just fine ✊🏻🪵...).

Edit: Well, .missing😲 when I went back to check so it must have been doing the "freeze" thing rabbits do. Anyways I found it in the greenhouse, missing Mama Rabbit.

I don't think it would look like this if it were dead? So glad it's not!! Hurray! Beautiful photo... love all the green! 💚🐇🍀 Lovey dubby

I have leaves on so many things already that I don't typically have at this time. My hydrangea buds are unfurling and my butterfly bushes are leafing out, too.

On another note.... I love driving by this house on my morning/afternoon drives. They change the front and back door decor (it's on a corner) with the holidays/seasons. Always something different and creative. For thanksgiving they had a large plate with a piece of pumpkin pie 🎃 on the front and a big turkey 🍗 leg on the back. For Easter they now have 2 bunny 🐰 cake pans on the front and a carrot 🥕 on the back.
It's a simple thing but really adds a lot of joy to my day. 😊

Great! I love that! I am a seasonal decorator too, both inside and out. Easter is up! Flags, mailbox covers, metal bunnies, indoor decor…

So pretty, Zoia! Very "spring-y"! The rug really adds to it. Nice touch. Hurray!

Thanks, Orion! Now I want Cadbury mini eggs. Hilarious! I was offered some the other night but I declined. D'Oh!
ETA: I just had to send a text to someone to find out if there were any left and where at. Lunch is served. 🤣

SummerBee, thank you for the acorn! I love them. They have no calories unlike Cadbury Eggs.

Just thinking about the trial from the movie set in New Mexico. A good rule to follow is that all guns are loaded.

That's what I was taught, Charley! Don't even point a toy gun at someone. Did you see during the trial one of the people on the witness stand pointed a gun towards the judge while doing a demonstration and the lawyer quickly shoved it downward?! Yikes! 😬

I just looked out the window and it is raining. Ben dark out so probably started long ago. Of course I did not get my laundry from the line outside this morning so it has gotten wet again. So it stays outside for now.

I did cook my corned beef today and just ate. I have lots leftover. It was okay but I think a little tough. Maybe I will cook it some more for next meal.
