I'm trying to add "Ruby Voodoo" to the plant database (type of rose) and I got this error:



However, when I clicked on the link, it just sends me to the Rose parent page. I know that Ruby Voodoo isn't in there & I want to add it.

Help? What am I doing wrong? Is it because I'm not putting in the species in there?

The cultivar field must never be blank. Do you know the cultivar of this particular variety?

I'm guessing that the Cultivar name is "Ruby Voodoo"?

Common name is Rose, as Dave says, the cultivar field should never be blank.

I'd like Zuzu to weigh in on this one. The cultivar names on roses are a little different from all the other plants in the DB.

If you remove the trade name and just submit it as Ruby Voodoo in the cultivar field, Zuzu will flesh in the other details, like that registered name of Jasru will be added to the cultivar field. http://www.helpmefind.com/gard...

It's done. Go ahead and add images, but don't add info. I already did that.

Rose (Rosa 'Ruby Voodoo')

For future reference, you should use just "Rose" as the common name, not Rose followed by the cultivar name. Please initial cap the cultivar name -- Ruby Voodoo, not Ruby voodoo. Jasru is not the trade name. It's the registration name, which is treated differently in rose entries.
