Hi my husband and I have recently moved and are renovating our garden, we have a wooden area at the bottom of the garden belonging to our neighbour over our back fence, but in our garden by the woodland is this plant (see photo) and lots of it. Can anyone tell me what it is please? Many thanks Liz

A google image search brings up Bur Parsley/Bur Chervil (Anthriscus caucalis) as the top result.

Anthriscus caucalis Guide: Grow & ID Bur Chervil Easily

It might also be the herb chervil (Anthriscus cerefolium) so you might just have a patch of that herb that reseeded. It could also be (and some of google results show) A. Sylvestris which is also known as Bur Chervil or Cow Parsley.

At least that narrows things to part of one genus. Good luck Crossing Fingers!

I can't see the leaves well but the pic made me think of bleeding hearts:

Welcome to the site!
Looks like there are a couple plants mixed in the group, a more clear pic would be helpful.
The one with the reddish stems look like it could possibly be hemlock

From your location and description of the habitat, I think most likely it's Cow Parsley. Having watched a bunch of Gardener's World on Britbox it looks pretty impressive and very pretty.

I'd say cow parsley, Anthriscus sylvestris.

I'm with the cow parsley folks. Here, it's an invasive weed. Might be different for you.

Remember, it is dangerous to the environment and ILLEGAL in MANY states (CA is one) to mail plants/bulbs/cuttings in. Let’s all practice Do No Harm while we walk this earth and find other ways to connect to one another through gardening.

Bear in mind that its flowers provide an early source of nectar for many pollinators and beneficial insects, including hoverflies, other flies and beetles, and its seeds are eaten by small birds. Grown in a grassy meadow or wildlife corner, it is a great way to boost the biodiversity of your garden.

From link above...

I usually allow this plant in the name of biodiversity... While a spreader, chervil (cow parsley) attracts ladybugs in my area...

And... is easily pulled when I have more than I want.
