'Regal Yellow' is a dormant introduced in 2005 by Zahler.

After trying to get it directly from the hybridizer (they were sold out) I got it from a New York state source a few years ago. This has quickly become a favorite yellow. Consistent, ruffled blooms are EMO, flat, substantial, and diamond-dusted. Stamens are usually displayed in an "array". The cultivar starts blooming early (end of May here in 7b) and then instantly reblooms. Wide branching and some bud-building. Good budcount. Dormant plants have pretty foliage. Increase is decent. Pod and pollen fertile. Not sure about rust resistance as it hasn't been exposed here.
