I've had my clematises in pots since I've brought them. I've bumped them up couple of years ago into 12" pots. Do they need bigger pots?

If I leave them in pots, how do you add more soil and amendments? They are getting big and not sure how to get them out of the pots without too much damage.

Will blooms be limited if not moved to bigger pots?

Thks
