Welcome! to ATP! Glad to have you here!

You may never know the ID of your daylily. Unless it would have a really unique characteristic, it's slmost impossible to figure out what it is from the 70,000 named cultivars. Usually, if someone has a list of plants they bought and the tags are mixed up, we can help with that, but often if you don't have some idea, then it's nearly impossible.

It does not look familiar to me.

It is not enough to post a picture. You need to give the dimensions of the flower and the height of the scapes and then sometimes you can get lucky if your flower has an unusual feature. But it can be impossible. If you care enough to have only identified ones, then give it to a friend that doesn't care and buy a true Siloam's Rare Gem.

I bought one called Atomic Inferno and it came up yellow. I finally was able to identify it as Larry Grace. The next year, it had an Atomic Inferno flower AND a Larry Grace flower. I separated the Atomic Inferno and had two plants but two years later and Larry Grace still has some Atomic Inferno.

I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Plant Identifier
is there any way you can go back to whoever you got it from? Sometimes you can email a pic to a previous owner lol and they will know what it is.

I can't identify your daylily, however, I have a similar issue. A daylily that was given to me years ago looks like Prairie Blue Eyes. Since I'm pretty sure it is, this year I purchased Prairie Blue Eyes at a reasonable cost. When it blooms I will compare to my unidentified plant and will then feel more confident to place a name marker with the plant.

A great idea, petruske! Sometimes doing the sleuthing on a NOID in the garden is so much fun! Thumbs up
