I went to the store yesterday and picked up French breakfast radish seeds, giant Noble spinach seeds, six cauliflower starts and six brussels sprout starts.

I looked at my weather forecast before purchasing them, and I think it's warm enough for these plants. However, I would like a second opinion just to be sure.

I know these plants are cold crops, and I've never grown spinach or brussels sprouts, so I'm asking because I'm not sure what the best time is to plant them. I know it's dependent on the weather.

I have grown cauliflower and radishes before, though.

Anyway, can someone help me figure this out?

Here is my weather forecast for reference.

Still getting down to 23 degrees?
You may be pushing things... but I'd probably give it a shot...

Although... I'd probably wait a bit if I could.

Around here, established plants die when temps drop into the teens...
And you aren't quite that cold... And seeds? I doubt they would mind... It's not going to keep getting that cold, is it?

Well, I suppose I could give it a try and see what happens, I guess there's no harm in doing that.

Here's one of the reasons why I was asking.

This is a carrot I planted last spring. I guess I forgot to pick it last year. It's starting to grow and put forth leaves. It got me thinking, "if a carrot grows now, will other cold crops grow?"

Thanks for the input. I think I will try to plant them. We will see what happens.

ETA: It's not gonna keep getting this cold. Around here, the last frost is usually April or May.

I'd plant the seeds now - they'll come up when they're ready - but hold off on the started plants until your lows are above freezing; or at least cover them with some "floating row cover," which you should do anyway unless you gradually expose them to the outdoor conditions to harden them off.

Really? I was under the impression that cold crops like cauliflower and Brussels sprouts could tolerate light frost and needed to be planted while it was still a little cold, was I mistaken?

Those cauliflower and brussels sprout aren't going to keep in those tiny pots... "Above freezing"... They take frost well enough... My concern is setting out green house plants while temps are dropping down into the low 20s...
But you gotta do something with them...

Yup...
Cold season plants... Probably grow all summer for you...
