Yesterday I treated my indoor thaumatophyllum for thrips.

In addition to rinsing the leaves with a soap and neem mixture and using bonide granules in the soil, I pruned back old leaves that were struggling as well as the brand new growth as it was attracting them/had the most thrips and damage from that.

My questions are:

A) are these plants pretty resilient with pruning? I certainly removed over the recommended 1/4 of foliage although it still has its bigger/healthy ones.

B) what are the repercussion of cutting brand new leaves? I've never had to to that before :/

Thank you!!! Image is before the trim.
