Can I spread this plant by taking a few root starters and planting them?

I am in zone 8b, and I simply cut stems, stick them into any type of soil, and keep them well-watered. They root immediately. They also root well in water. I have many large sedum plants propagated this way in sun, partial shade, and dry shade. You don't always have to stick to the rules! And sedum is tough and forgiving.
