Hi there! My sweet house plant has a yellow goop? in the soil that I just noticed... I've had her for two years at least and have never seen anything like it before. I am wondering if it's from the plant food pump I started using in the recent months? If you could please help identify and let me know what I need to do, I would appreciate it! The leaves look fine and it's continuing to grow with new baby leaves, not sure about the roots πŸ™πŸΌπŸ™πŸΌ

If its organic fertilizer, it could be mold or fungus growing on the particles in the fertilizer that aren't completely decomposed. That looks like miniature slime mold.

@Lucy68 is correct (as usual.) It is a slime mold, Fuligo septica, commonly called 'dog vomit'. It helps break down dead material in the soil. It is not harmful to your plant. Whenever I have it it usually passes through the yellow or vegetative stage quickly but remains unseen in the soil.

I think it is the mycelium of the very common flower-pot mushroom - Leucocoprinus birnbaumii.
Nothing to worry about.
