Recently received two cold hardy avocado trees and planted them in pots. Both seemed to be thriving and producing new leaves and buds when I started noticing holes eaten in some of the leaves. I assumed slugs/snails so I sprinkled a granular slug-b-gone product around each tree. Did several applications but the the damage has only increased and accelerated. (see attached photo.) Have examined leaves and haven't seen any critters. Help! (living in North Texas Zone 8a)

The photo did not come through.
