I love to have unique blooms and flowers. Last week I won 3rd place with this one. I would never purchase it but it was a gift with an order. It is growing on me.
Thanks

I, too, was thinking of Don't Doubt Dalton. Smiling

A new one that I planted last year and bloomed this spring is SDB Perfect Animal. It has an unusual color combination that I really like:

I also have a NOID that is very likely Batik, and it has been producing a number of half-and-half patterns, which many iris sometimes do, but it is quite interesting in a broken pattern, I think:

NOID that is likely BB Batik:

I really enjoy finding an iris with more than 3 falls:

Space-agers are fun! I only have two that have bloomed at the moment: Concertina and Lavender Petticoat.

I don't have any that I'd say stun you to a stop because of how unique it is. I need more broken colors Rolling my eyes.

Here is perhaps my favorite luminata. This is IB Micro Burst, and it stops me dead in my tracks every single time.

It is just so much prettier in person

Okay, so I don't have a broken color, but TB Adriatix Noble has broken before for me. That was pretty unique!

Interesting thread. My most unusual iris was maybe WHITE EXTRA. It looks a lot like MESMERIZER, but sometimes, under/at the base of the spoons/modified beard, there would be lavender. Sometimes on one or two of them, but never on all three (that I noticed). (Gophers got it a year or two ago.)

Thank you for posting your unusual blooms. I really enjoy the spoons, horns but what is a pom pom?
Anyone have pics?

Brad's seedling 12-12-A is pretty unique, and each bloom is different.

I know it is registered and had a name now, but I don't remember it. I'll have to look it up.

I am late to the party, as usual, but I want to add my weird Concertina blooms to the list. One went four ways, and one barely went one way. Same clump of rhizomes.
