After the kids grew up and left the house, I was left with an unused basketball pole. Instead of digging it out (work Thumbs down ), I decided to use it as a plant climbing structure. I tried different approaches (e.g. wires from top forming tee pee) and what I settled on was stacked square tomato cages. After it fills in, it forms a nice 10 foot monolith. I primarily use it for Queen's Wreath (Coral Vine) because I love the the flowers and the bees it attracts, but I've done Malabar Spinach, and this year I'm trying Hyacinth Bean along with Queen's Wreath. Here is a picture as it stands now, I'll add picture later when it fills in.

I love it! Do you know why your coral vine didn't come back?

Hi Tiffany! Excuse my awkward wording...the coral vine comes back dependably every year and there are many new babies from seed. I was a little worried the hyacinth beans wouldn't be able to compete with the coral vine, but they have reached the top of the structure in less time, so I guess they'll be ok. The coral vine is starting to flower so I'm hoping the bees will show up soon. Nice thing about coral vine is that every part of the plant is edible...I've tried the leaves in a salad and they taste pretty good (mild flavor).
