Keeping Squirrels out of Freshly Planted Pots

The squirrels don't dig in freshly planted pots and planters if you place large flat stones in between the new plants. Once the plants are established and are starting to grow, the stones can be removed.

I put wire over my containers, it doesn't stop them but it slows them down....

That's great for smaller plantings ... we use wire in the garden too.

I like the stones idea and will use that for my pots - i was doing that for all my houseplants that the kitties had access to .. for larger beds I put chicken wire on top and let the plants grow through it .. works very well for me.
