Have you tried Hesperothamnus as the genus, and brandegee as the species, or perhaps as the species AND as the cultivar:??

I see entries for other species inside the genus Hesperothamnus.

Also, what error message do you get? Is it an automated response, or was the proposal accepted into the moderation queue, and later rejected by a moderator?

I'm notsure what the Brandegee refers to, but we have Hesperothamnus littoralis in the database here:

The plant is already in the database as Hesperothamnus littoralis. I think Brandegee is the botanist who established the existence of the species. His name is not part of the plant name.

There seems to be a lack of information posted (other than the names) for that whole genus.

Do you have a photo or some comments you could add? I was trying to figure out what it was (grass, vine, tree, moss, flower?)

This is interesting. I just did a google image search for this plant and the fourth image is dave's avatar, that leads back to this thread.

Google has been getting better and better about finding ATP and including us in their search results, and with greater speed. We get twice as many visitors via google than we did at this time a year ago.
