I'm going to try that. I have done celery and eventually it does go mushy but with the clipping of the onion greens
maybe that keeps it fresh longer.

I only eat the green tops so that the roots can grow. (Sometimes I trim the roots)They taste the same to me-mild green onion flavor. You can also grow the end of a white/red onion in water. Those greens might be stronger?? I will try that, too! With the Romaine, they all look nice on my window sill.
