Hey Lynn!!
and thank you for the big welcome, woot woot! hehe
Thanks on compliments on my semp, I just hope it can grow well! As stated, I am worried about the root stem of it--it really looked unhealthy, but the rest of the semp looks ok as pictured in initial post of this thread.
But with only what I know about semps, my understanding is to keep the watering routine around once, maybe twice a week if the temperature is too high? At this moment, my belief is to treat this almost like a cactus--very little water needed "frame of mind"? Also at this moment, I have it in a good draining setup, and it seems to be ok. Yay for me, a new plant to love!
I think I attracted a third hummer---I saw Perch feeding, then another hummer fought him off and fed, and I know it wasn't Zippy. Zippy never ever 'sits and feeds'...looking to get video footage of this possible third guest, and after observing, I have named him 'Spec'(Speculates, lol). Zippy and Perch know what's up, but Spec feeds and spends a second or two looking around at all my plants and the whole set up, while Zippy and Perch already know the landscape already, lol
