Our tuberoses are starting to bloom now. I was out in the garden this evening at 8:20, and took this picture. The fragrance was so wonderful. Sorry the picture is rather blurry, will do better next time, I hope.

Are your plants in the ground or in pots? Mine are in pots that I overwinter in the garage. I would like to plant them and leave them out if I know that they should come back. I can't wait for mine to bloom. I agree The fragrance on these plants is wonderful indeed.

All our tuberoses are planted in the ground. They are mulched year round with pine straw.

Thanks. I've planted mine in the ground before, but wondered why it didn't survive. It was before I learned how important it is to mulch certain plants that are marginally hardy. I'm going to plant mine when cooler temps arrive.

I tried leaving mine in the ground, but over a four or so years they gradually died out. I don't know what conditions they need to multiply and increase, maybe milder winters than here (zone 8b)?

Mine are in the ground. I get so much multiplication of bulbs that I have spread them throughout the yard.
