You make a great podcaster! Smiling

And I could smell my grandfather's bee smoker as soon as Dave mentioned it. Also enjoyed the segment about drying flowers, one of my favorites.

I tried the atp.com/contest; didn't work. Then I tried allthingsplants.com/contest, didn't work either and both take me straight to the podcast, but no entry place. I already have a stack of ATP shirts, so it wasn't like I expected to win, but I did want to add a number to your listener tally.

Anyway, another nice podcast; thanks much!

atp.com is owned by someone else.

I went to your second link and it worked perfectly for me. We've had a few contest entries already. Shrug!

I enjoyed the podcast, as always. I like the hang and dry method.

Just like Sharon, I already have an ATP T-shirt and just wanted to sign-in but found nothing under allthingsplants.com/contest.

Sad Nope. Still not working for me. I tried Google and Bing, not coming up. Also tried my Yahoo browser. Or am I just a dummy?

Hilarious! I don't mind asking.

I'm listening to the podcast right now ... Great IntroductionTrish!

It's so interesting hearing about your bee hives and honey production, great job! I'm curious ... is Trish going to sell honey in her store? Green Grin! I've purchased your hand balm and it's wonderful; I've also bought some of your candles, do you use the beeswax in your candles too?

I went to www.allthingsplants.com/contest and it works for me but I didn't enter because I don't want to be piggy; I have four ATP T-shirts already so I hope someone new wins one of the shirts!

Again, great educational podcast! Thumbs up

Trish & Dave: A podcast talking about recipes that y'all make using your own plants/herbs will be great!! I'd also love, love, love to see some of your recipes posted here on ATP! Smiling

Thanks Lin. I don't know why it doesn't show up for me.

I wasn't planning to enter the contest since I already have a T shirt but I was wondering what I was doing wrong; maybe someone else is having the same problem?

But maybe your link will be helpful to someone else having problems... unless I'm the only one! Hilarious!

Lin,

Unfortunately, I can't sell honey. In order to sell, I would have to have our hives inspected and licenced, and we have no current plans to do that. Not to mention, we will be eating all the we produce until we get more hives! Green Grin!

The candles are made with soy way, actually.

We could make beeswax candles, but knowing the amount of effort it took Dave to get this block of wax, I don't think we're willing to! Rolling on the floor laughing I'm sure there is equipment that would make short work of jobs like that, but we haven't grown into all of that yet.

I'd love to see an article about drying and pressing flowers.

I have a Flower Press that a friend gave me. She's a retired elementary school teacher and years ago her husband made a bunch of flower presses out of wood that they she stained and then decopauged flowers on the front board. She had one remaining flower press that she was going to throw out and asked me if I wanted it. I pressed a few blooms but some were the types of flowers that had too much moisture and they didn't work well at all. I pressed some Maidenhair fern that really did well. I have the problem too of wondering what to do with flowers after drying them! I thought about matting and framing a few but my attention span is so short anymore that I know I'll never get around to it. Green Grin!

Trish: I hadn't thought about licensing etc. regarding selling honey. There are hives at the little local botanical gardens where I volunteer one day a week and we sell honey there. My husband can't have biscuits without honey so we do go through honey quite quickly. Green Grin!

Your soy candles are great! I was just curious if you used beeswax for them too but it sounds like it would be a lot of effort to continually collect wax to make candles. Green Grin!

Dave & Trish: I entered the contest to help with accuracy on the number of listeners but exclude me from the prize please; I'd love to see someone else (who doesn't already have a teeshirt) win one! Smiling

GREAT podcast Dave and Trish - thank you!

I buy our raw unpasteurized honey at our health food store - Ack - it IS expensive.

I would love to hear all your recipes! Hurray! Thumbs up

I'm not going to go to the contest as we have lots of t-shirts but I think it's really cool that you're offering them to your listeners.
