Coleus fanatics:

Do you use liquid fert. or time released fert.? (organic or otherwise)

I finally potted up my 'Tapestry' Coleus I got this Spring in a container and I was just wondering.

I don't always have Coleus here every year and I wanted to know from the fanatics how they do it. Smiling

Thanks! Thumbs up

I didn't know and/or think there was any thread regarding this, but forgive me if there was/is. Angel

Thanks Allison! I tip my hat to you. Thumbs up

Queen of Coleus! nodding

Could I add osmocote on top of the soil, since it's already potted up?

Or, since they are all in containers on the front porch, I could just use the liquid fert. that I pour onto my fuchsias.

the liquid will be fine.. not sure if putting the slow release on top will do any good??.. in the past if I added any to already potted up plants I covered it with mix after I scattered it in the container .. I think it does need to be covered to break down.. I think

I just use compost tea and / or worm castings. They grow like crazy.
