I too use these but mainly depend on my color-coded ribbons. These ribbons hold up well in our heat and humidity. It took years of experimenting to find what works.

I have one 30 year old NOID white tree that gives seed pods each year. Shes big and tall,, 12-14 feet with 12-15 tips. Half the tips bloom. We call her Auntie Chris.

While its fun to nurture the pods for 9 months, then watch the seeds explode, I tend not to have the patience for seed-griwing anything, let alone the 3-4 year wait fir a plumeria. I did plant the seeds one year and ended up with 22 little trees. I gave most away and called them Seedling of Auntie Chris. Not an official name, of course being a NOID. I did keep one out of curiosity. It's from 2018. Its taking its sweet time growing and giving me inflo.Maybe next year. My guess is the daddy was Penang Peach since its so prolific all summer.

I have to admit it, I have been very lax lately with my seedlings since I have too many. But I want to see them bloom so I have been keeping them in pots and I do not give non blooming seedlings any more. I kept getting questions on when will it bloom? how can I make them bloom? even with full disclosure that they were seed grown so might take years for them to bloom.

Tag says seedling of Sariah's Curly 8/2012. This is the first year bloom and usually curls will come second or third blooming cycle (this grew as twin branches from the base and is now 4 feet tall)

@drdawg here are examples of my seed grown plumerias. I can add all the photos in the NGA database under plumeriasbut I can't add these names in the NGA since they are not commercially available. (I wont be able to link a website to show they exist.)
