Then I looked at another clematis. It had the same name on its tag though it looked to me like Clematis Josephine which I have growing at home..

I thought it odd they both had the same name though I was thinking maybe they were the same one for 1 that I have blooms single at times and double at times but I was not sure of which one that was.

I came home and googled Clematis Regal and found it is not a clematis but a grouping of them. LOL I guess the growers did not get that part!

So the first one is Clematis Empress which is new to me and the next is Clematis Josephine.

Love the pretty green center on Empress but it seems a lot of early clem blooms aren't typical, too bad, that green would be nice if it always bloomed that way!

You know I have an interest in clivia too, esp variegated ones. Funny the hot thing now with them is a green center too! LOL Sadly real great ones can go for thousands.

Noooooooo! I need to figure out what to do with the plants I already have so when we do find a house, we can put ours up on the market quickly. I need to declutter by bringing over as many potted plants over to Mom's as I can to make the backyard less intimidating and roomier.

I thought that would be the case! Though some instant color would be great to sell the house too!

There is a BIG difference between instant color and a collection gone mad! Rolling my eyes.

I scouted Lowes a couple of weeks ago and I plan to dig up my favorite roses & daylilies and replace them with some easy care shrubs and grasses plus mulch and then whatever annuals are available right before we do list can add that needed color

Oh just think of all the room you will have in your new garden! I could be so jealous, Sue!

Well I went back to the nursery and ened up getting another Clematis Josephine. I do not remember mine looking so interesting. So much muted green and lavender and the center slowly changes to white. A real blend of colors. I got suckered right in.

I know HMB got these from that wholesale place we went to Sue. I need to go back there! I bet they were $6 and I paid $24.

Gorgeous shot! Hope you add your pics to Evey's database. By the way, we sure can use some help adding pictures in the rose database as well.

Ha ha, we won't sell any of your pictures unless we are offered big time nursery shopping buckeroos or a big box of chocolates. Either one, and all bets are off. Hilarious!

Yeppers! Just to enhance the cubit, no way would it compete with anything like HMF.
