Is this what rebloom looks like? One scape full of buds coming up in a forest of dead scapes?

yeah, but can you post a picture of it? Also, you can remove the dead scapes

Yep. Sounds just like rebloom at my house.

Remove old scapes and dead leaves so the plants look fresh again. I have a few rebloomers, Fragrant Returns, Cabbage Flower, Your Choice, and last but not least, Stella de Oro always seems to be in bloom. Love them!

I'm not worried about dead scapes ;>) just happy to see rebloom. I guess instant rebloom would be where there are still blooming scapes and another new one with buds is coming up? I see this a lot. Or is it still the first crop that is slow in putting up all scapes?

If you look at the link I posted above, there are photos in it that show the difference between pre-bloom and instant rebloom. "regular" rebloom would be when the first scape is all the way done, the plant will often rest a couple weeks or even a couple months, then send up another scape. With instant rebloom, the second scape is coming up while the first scape is still blooming. But, with pre-bloom, the scape comes up outside of the fan, in early spring, and it is thought to be a leftover rebloom scape from the fall before, that didn't have time to mature the last year.
