Ok, I think both of these are hybrid teas. Both are "bigbox" roses. (Home Depot) 1 was grossly mismarked, the other, well, they got the color right.

This rose is about 3'. Has the same plant shape as all my Blue Girls.. tall, leggy, thick caned, larger thorns. Medium green leaves, not glossy, not leathery. HIGHLY fragrant. Ovid buds, in cooler weather shows this pink tinge. Doesn't shatter easily. In warmer weather, pure white.

This rose was labeled "Golden Showers", which is a climber. It's gotten to be about 20-24" this year. Ovid buds open to beautiful yellow full flowers. Moderate 'rose' fragrance. In high heat, was very medium / strong yellow. Now that we've got cooler weather, showing this orange tinge. Leaves are a medium green with a slight leathery look. Again, larger thorns (no prickers). Not as leggy, but still a very up-right plant. Only about 16" wide. Canes are thicker and not flexible at all.

That last one looks like 'Lovestruck'. Does it bloom in clusters?
They are all pretty!
I think i have the first one also...have to look at it when I get home.

Cindi - HAHAHAH!! Love it!! Loves Truck!! Well, close enough.

And no, the pink/white one is definitely in the hybrid tea mode of long, thornless canes perfect for cutting and a single rose on each cane. Very nice rose, but not the color I wanted.

Any idea what this walmart special is? It is a single orange colored rose.

Why are you sending Brandi to DG, Cindi? Confused We have Shreveport in our database. Smiling

Rose (Rosa 'Shreveport')

Mon Cheri is variable, but it varies from deep pink to red. I've never seen it turn orange.

Rose (Rosa 'Mon Cheri')

I think Shreveport is a good guess. I didn't look at the Walmart roses this year, so I don't know what they were carrying.

Toni, as a starting point, I'm going to suggest that your three roses are Sheer Bliss, Gold Medal, and either Gemini or Brigadoon.

Zuzu - I'm gonna go with Brigadoon for my pink/white as it doesn't act like my Gemini (my Gemini has clusters, this is always in singletons), Gold Medal for the yellow, dunno on the pure white one yet as it doesn't show as much pink as Sheer Bliss does.

Brandi - You're so lucky to have gotten that beautiful Shreveport! *jealous* Been looking locally for one for a few years now, can't ever seem to find one!

Cindi - Definitely not Mon Cheri.. that's really bright & I would have snapped that up in a heart beat. Mine's much more muted. Here's a pic from this morning.

What is everyone's idea of this being "Alto"? I know it's a "Parade" rose, and the closest one I can find off of http://www.poulsenroser.com Poulsen Rosers website is Alto, but HMF doesn't show it readily available. I'd love to know who it is.. I bought this on clearance a few years ago at Walmart. I do remember it being a Parade rose because I bought 4 miniatures (Parade & Kordes) and they all survived. One I've identified as Hot Kiss (the Kordes rose), but the Parades I haven't been able to.

Alto? It's blooming a little more coral undertones, but it's usually a clear apricot.

Don't take my ID's as gospel, Toni. I'm just throwing out suggestions, which easily could sound ridiculous to someone else.

Alto Palace (aka Alto Parade) is widely available. I've seen it numerous times at Trader Joe's.

Zuzu - You've got more experience with roses than I probably have years on this planet. I *will* take your words as gospel as I firmly believe you know what the hell you're talking about. So Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out Sticking tongue out And according to HMF, Alto is only available via a .. German? company. But we don't have any Trader Joes here (yet) and none of the stores are carrying indoor roses yet.

"German"? HMF says it's available from Poulsen, which is Danish. Smiling

Trader Joe's selection probably isn't known to the people at HMF.com. After all, it isn't listed as a nursery on the site and it probably doesn't share any of its sales information with HMF.

Trader Joe's is a terrific store. Every time I go to visit one of my daughters, I ask them to take me there. More than once, I've packed roses from there into my suitcase! Our local stores offer Poulsen / Parade minis a couple of times a year. I've had real good luck planting them in the ground and keeping them growing.
A few weeks ago, I made a wrong turn going to the Milwaukee airport, and ended up at a Trader Joes. I couldn't believe my luck. Needless to say, my carry on bag ended up very full. *Blush*
