Couldn't get this one to resize without some distortion, but here's where we relax when we try to make time!

Sandy, what a treat to see! I love what you did with the tree stump. What a clever idea!

I look at the delphiniums every year when they arrive at Home Depot. That's one of my pet peeves about the big box stores.... they get in many plants that just will NOT survive here. My grandmother grew delphs along with alyssum and I loved the look. Unfortunately, I can't grow either here due to the extreme heat.

Just one more and then I better get some housework done! This garden is now mostly a daylily garden. I had pulled the hollyhocks out because they kept reseeding and choking everything out. Now looking back after several years, I sure do like the look! Might have to plug one or two back in there and deadhead before they go go seed~

Sandy - I love the idea with the tree and pots nailed to it, too! Love the vine you had growing. Was it Wedding Bells? Your yard and garden beds are to die for! You are so lucky to have so many different flowering plants grow so well for you there! I have a serious problem with the heat here in FL. I love the different heights in your beds, too! Great foliage plants mixed with flowering plants! Simply gorgeous!

Hi Becky....It's Heavenly Blue in the pots growing up the tree trunk. Glad you're enjoying the gardens! My daughter loves heat and wants to move to Florida....how can I talk her out of it? I'd miss my grandbaby too much!

She sure is cute. I remember when my oldest GS was little I took care of him while his Mommy (my daughter) went to school. When we were out people would compliment me on my little boy and I just said "Thank You" Use it while you can!!!

Sandy - Your GD is a cutie! I, too, thought she was your sweet little daughter! Smiling Is she your gardening buddy? I hope my soon-to-be first grandbaby (a girl) is gonna like to hang out with me in the garden. ;-)

My gosh! Your Heavenly Blue vine is to die for! Your yard is so lovely! You are inspiring me to make some combo planters and mixed beds. Plants probably grow better where you are than here. Too hot, lousy soil, nematodes, and hurricanes! That's Florida! LOL!

Oh, oh! I'm going to have to spend way more time looking at all these lovely photos! What I don't understand is your reference to 'housework'. How do you manage to do housework with these beautiful gardens? I do see that you are in Wisconsin, so maybe you just do housework in the winter?
Your hostas are incredible. I think I need to learn 'hosta growing' from you. Maybe mine are too crowded.
Love the stove! How neat that it came home with you!

Sandy, after taking in all of your purty places I have to laugh that your first comment was that you are a hodge-podge gardener and that you have to 'sneak' in plants when DH isn't looking. Whatever you are doing - keep doing it. Your lovely gardens are a joy to look at.

I've been home with the awful flu this past week...when I felt up to it I looked through some more of my photos. Here's the same area as pic #3 only from a different angle.....
