Peter, I love Bronco. It is new to me this year, but already even in it's tiny stage it is beautiful.
Here it is in June just getting started. The bits of chicken grit tell you how young it is. But it already showing color like your is. I will have to get a new photo of it.

That is a great producers Peter.

I too have that one and love it! Mine is a bambino still too and yet they are already offsetting!! Its one of the ones that I lost the hen due to too much water though but I'm hoping the chicks will survive - I know they will!

Peter, I did not know that Bronco was one of yours. It has long been one of my favorites and I have included it on top 10 or top 100 lists in the past. Thank you very much for this one.

For me, Bronco reproduces and grows slowly. In order to rapidly increase it, I surgically divided about half of my rosettes a couple of years back, so now have adequate numbers. Would you be willing to comment or discuss its genetics and the production efforts that went into creating it?

I think there is a misunderstanding; I'm not the breeder of it - my semp-friend Martin Haberer did it!

it only was the first named semps in my collection; there is no semps named or breeded by me;

Peter maybe you could get that information from Martin Haberer?

I know that it was a chance-seedling without a concrete ambition - but he noticed at once that it is something special; he'd never had a darker 3-month-seedling before;
