This is Daisy's area. The sstructure under construction to the right is the Chicken Coop. Susan has a very nurturing spirit and she decided she wanted chickens.. so we now are the owner of 6 chickens. Daisy and "the girls" get along quite well.

Josephs Coat ... There are two clematis flanking this rose you can see the foliage of one to the left of the rose. I am going to stop now... My garden has 4 beds that are 6 feet by 60 feet , 2 beds that are 20 by 4 feet, 1 bed that is 40 by 6 feet , 1 bed that is 4 by 10 feet 3 other beds that are another 700 square feet. Susan and I started these gardens in 2005.

Thanks so much for your kind comments. Evey: our average annual killing frosts are Apr 26th and October 26th. I can usually transplant perennials and bienneials until early December. Its the heat and humidity here thats difficult to deal with. I suspect you know all about that.

Hopefully my Joseph's coat will look like yours someday. Unbelievable garden for one started in 2005. Everything looks so wonderfully planned and cared for. Thank you for sharing.

Yep, I certainly am well-versed in the heat and humidity! I seem to be getting an education in the extended freezes this year too, though! What is your average high temp in summer?

I can't imagine having frost in late April. We're often swimming by then, or at least by mid-May (with no heat in the pool). We visited my brother in Ohio one year during JULY and it was too chilly to swim. It hardly seems worth having a pool if you can only use it two months of the year!
