I believe Polypodium polypodioides is a Synonym for Pleopeltis polypodioides; if I'm correct, the photo's and comments here:

The COL shows both Polypodium polypodioides (L.) Hitchc. and (L.) Watt as synonyms of Pleopeltis polypodioides subsp. polypodioides. The 2013 scrutiny looks to be the latest and comprehensive. Will look further. Can you provide links?

As a general rule, Lin, I check The Plant List only when something isn't listed on any other taxonomic database. It's the most comprehensive database, but it also has many obsolete entries.

The information in your TPL link is dated 1993, the most recent date for the ITIS entry is 2011, and the Catalogue of Life entry is dated 15 August 2013, so it would be the most up-to-date information.

I used to only check ITIS but then a year or so ago, someone told me that KEW's Plant List was more accurate. It doesn't take much to confuse me and I don't know where to look for the latest/most recent dates at either site ... so if they are both the same plant I hope one of the moderators can combine them at the correct entry in our database.
