Hi Lynn

How wide is it in the pic and how old is it in the pic? I don't mean the individual rosettes, but the whole plant.

Thanks!

Marilyn

Hi Marilyn.
I've had that semp since 2010, so three years. But have harvested numerous offset from it over the last few years.
In that photo taken last year I would say the clump is approximately 9" x 9". I can go out tomorrow and measure the clump that's out there now if you like, with a photo of it.
It really is a great semp. It has wonderful color changes through the year.

Just saw your message. *Blush*

No rush! Just whenever you can. Group hug Thumbs up I'm in no hurry. Maybe I can start (and fit) one plant in somewhere.

Is it better to plant in the Spring or the Fall for these types of plants?

And I forgot. *Blush*

I prefer spring, and have better luck with spring planting. But I have done many in the fall with success.

Good morning Marilyn.
I took this photo just for you this morning. Still a little darkish outside. This clump is the results of the new growth this year on one mature rosette. It truly is a sweet smaller type semp. It packs a lot of color in those little leaves. As you can see we had gentle rains during the night. The semps love this weather we are having right now.

I'm going to make a spot for that one and hope you still have one piece of it to sell next Spring!

Does it ever flower? *Blush*

If it does, what does it attract?

If you click on the photo you can see about 12 o'clock the dead foliage of a bloom stalk I pruned out.
It attracts all types of bees, including Bumble Bees (one of my favorites) and some types of butterflies.
I am sure I will have plenty for you then Marilyn.
