I don't have knowledge to contribute, but how about question?
What varieties are well suited to the coastal Pacific North West?
I'm most desirous of fragrant giant hyacinths, but I know I'll have to replant them every year
I also like daffodils and tulips
- 8-9 cloudy, drizzly months then a dry summer
- mild winters (Zone 8)
- mild, cool summers
- did I mention how wet spring, fall and winter are?
I assume that any bulb is going to need my best efforts at improving the drainage of heavy clay - raised beds, bark fines, bark nuggets and crushed stone.
Hurray, it is bulb week!
