Well, here they are!

Not very dramatic, because there's not much to see.

Should I take some closeups?

The pots are great! you didn't bury them did you? Is the crown at the top of the soil line or even with? Yes, close ups would be nice. Green Grin!

Ok. Here they are. I hope I've planted them correctly. What do you think? On closer inspection, there's new growth so it can't be all that bad, right?

Thanks Ladies!

What I'm fighting with now is how much / little do I water them? I just kind of "go with my gut" and what they appear to need each day. If the soil is "damp looking" maybe I skip that one that day. If one is a little dryer, I'll give it a couple of little showers and let the water really soak in before hitting it again with a little more.

I agree -- better too not over water as they can get crown rot and die. Crying

Mike, it's been 3 years now since you began your great Hosta learning expedition. How have they fared?

I am in zone 5, Colorado. Wish to plant hostas in large ceramic, pots because the soil is so awful. Can they over winter outside, or perhaps in the garage?

I live in zone 7 and have minimal problems over sauntering in nursery pots.

Hosts are supposed to be hardy to zone 3. Hopefully, someone in zone 5 will jump in and give you proper guidance.
