It must be sesamum indicum. I at least know how the seeds got there, from feeding them to the chickens.

I would have no idea how South African foxglove would be in my garden.

Yes Frostweed, the leaves are smaller at the top of the stem where the flowers are.

I'll go take another picture, overview of the plant.

Your plant really does look like sesame.
The lower leaves on my sesame plants (White sesame) have 3 lobes, the upper leaves are single.

They do not like too much water at this stage of growth. They are prone to disease if too wet.
