I was very sorry to hear and see the devastation in Colorado. I am glad you are doing well and you even have utilities!

Thanks Susan, So many are displaced and do not even have clean water and electricity. So am very Blessed.

Still raining tonight after a brief bit of sunshine earlier. Now they are saying Wednesday before it will clear out for a full day. Sort of bait and switch .. Tomorrow, tomorrow the sun may come out tomorrow!!!

Thanks, it did come out today and water is going down in a lot of areas. They do say possible rain later today and then clearing after 8pm this evening. It is so wonderful to see the sun.

So much clean up going on in the northern suburbs, including waste water treatment plants. They are being told no showers and no washing dishes, clothes and NO FLUSHING. Uggg. Water pressure here is reduced but at least it is still running.
I am so blessed.

We had the same problem when our pumping station flooded during Hurricane Floyd. I went up to the mall and waited in line to get water for my family from the National Guard. We would use one gallon of water and flush anyway. They kept saying not to do it but it was three whole days like that. I was just getting ready to drive to the next city and rent a hotel room so I could do laundry and take turns getting a shower, when the water came back on. Did you ever wonder who pumps out a pumping station and blows it dry before they can restore power? LOL.
Fill your tub with water and after you take your bath use the dirty water for flushing the toilet. Fill buckets and save it. Are you boiling your drinking water?. Just store whatever water you can in case they turn it completely off. Buckets, tubs, sinks, anything.

Got some water at store and resupplied my most needed items. I saw lots of standing water and some areas where you could see there had been runoff but no roads closed or under water in my area. Maybe we are turning the corner.

I tip my hat to you. I tip my hat to you. for your encouragement and concern. So many others In the northern and eastern areas where there are those who are going to be struggling for months if not years rebuilding.

Knowing what I know now I would not be without gas. I am blessed also that nothing has interrupted my gas like the people in New York last year when the Hurricane hit there.
I hope none of these people were victims of the fire last year. They are probably just now rebuilding since it takes a whole year to get a check from an insurance company. LOL.
