I decided I'm going to add mini daylilies to the Fairy Garden. I started with Eeenie Weenie

I did not know there was mini day lilies. I am going to have to look them up.

That's what I said and they gave me ideas on this thread. If you look back through this I think there are ideas somewhere. Not as little as other fairy garden plants.

Put this together last week and I love it!

Thanks all! The pot was a gift. Not sure of the rules here yet. Can I post a like to the pot? I'm hosting a class at the end of the month and couldn't be more excited!

I had a friend send me a photo of one of those fairy gardens in a broken pot with the words, "We should make one of these"! Never one to step lightly into a craft/plant project, the first thing I did was go buy 40 of those little wooden birdhouses to turn into fairy houses and gnome homes.
Finally I got around to making a couple of the 'gardens'...

How excellent!! Tiny birdhouses DO look like they belong in mini gardens! Superb idea & well executed.

Here is a Fairy Garden I made after my friend bought me early birthday gifts which were the cottage and a few other accessories. This is the finished garden except for some kind of a ladder to get up into the garden. I know that Fairies can fly but maybe they will have other visitors who need to climb a ladder.

Here is one that I just put together yesterday and changed a few things this morning. I am always changing things around. I can't help myself.


Here is where they are both located in the front house flower bed by the walk-in garage door where I can see it every time I go in and out of the house.


I always have Calendula that self seeds here so I will have to keep them trimmed back or not let them grow at all if they try to cover my Fairy Gardens up.

I am glad that you enjoyed my Fairy Gardens. They are so fun to make and also fun collecting things to put in them. I think they are protected pretty good by the house, garage, and cars in the drive way from the high winds we get up here on the ridge. It is sure windy tonight. I can't wait until the grandchildren come and see them this summer.

I'm adding more to my outdoor one this summer and having my granddaughter help set it up.

Sounds fun. Please post pictures when you complete it.
