Getting To Know Those Flying Stingers

By Sharon
September 27, 2013

Uninvited, they join us at picnics. They race for the first bite of our apples. They pounce from beneath the blades of the lawnmower and crawl up the legs of our pants. Even our noses are at risk when we sniff our flowers. "What stung you?" she asked years ago. "I don't know, Ninna, but it had wings and a stinger!"

You know, Marilyn, I can't right off hand remember my blood type. I'd have to go look it up. Strange that I don't remember. But your info is good to know. Thanks.

Now, that's odd, Marilyn. DH is type O and he almost never gets bit. I'm type A, and the little varmints just love to lunch on me!
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.

And here I am still trying to find my blood type. Duh.

Has to do with sweat and body temps, too, I've read, and Aunt Bett always swore that if you ate garlic the mosquitoes would stay far away.

Makes everything else stay far away too, methinks.

Actually garlic in ones diet is supposed to be very good for you. I think it lowers blood pressure and cholesterol. A good excuse to eat lots of spicy Italian Foods! Hilarious!

True, Rita.
And I love garlic. Maybe that's why mosquitoes don't like me and why I've never seen Bigfoot. Maybe it's also why I'm so healthy with no recent medical records, so I can't find my blood type. Funny how something important like that has just slipped my mind and will drive me crazy till I find it.

I have type A blood. I eat a lot of garlic. But if there is one mosquito, it will find me, unless I put Tiger Balm on me, then the mosquitos stay away----The day that a bumblebee stung me, I do not remember whether I put the Tiger Balm on, maybe I accidentally stepped on its nest? It was really mad and was going after me and finally stung my hand. They usually go their way without bothering me at all and I do not bother them either...
