Unfortunately it isn't winter hardy in zone 8 I hear..I'm in zone 7 and overwinter it dormant in the cool room..cut down to maybe 4 ft...
Now it's up 10 ft and maybe 15 ft along a trellis and has been blooming for a month now

Wowza! Those are gorgeous! Brugs too! Does the vine make seeds?

Thanks all... I keep looking through old flowers and haven't come upon seeds yet... Plenty of bees all over it.. So it's not likely from lack of pollination... Here's a photo of that corner as the Brugs continue to blast away
more and more flowers every day on this lovely vine... all these flowers and not a hit of seeds anywhere... I wonder what it would take to get seeds from it... might I need another vine of it... would having a clone of this one in the area help... likely there's a male/female version of it in the world that might help... I'm reminded of the story of how kiwis were taken out of china ... botanists went in and took all the heavy fruiting female monkey fruit vines out for research... only to find none of them would bear fruit in CA or New Zealand... lacking the necessary males.. luckily ... China opened up a decade or so later and they could get in again and get males for development of the Kiwi..
woops photos are on the other machine... BRB...
