Very pretty Susie! May I ask how big does that Goats Beard actually get. Yours looks very happy.

That is actually three plants so it isn't as impressive when you know that! But they are large plants as are the three Hostas. I should probably separate the Hostas but they are so big I get intimidated every time I go out to do it . I wouldn't even know where to start.

Thanks Susie, actually I am more impressed. Putting three together was a great idea! Don't worry about the hostas right now but when they are dormant you can slice into them with a spade and just dig up half and drop the other half somewhere else. I have always done mine when they are dormant, sometimes I dig up the whole thing and slice it four ways (like a cabbage) they come right back up in spring and do not even know that you mutilated them.

I originally had one more there and I did that about 5 years ago. It made about 20 large plants that I sold most of at a plant sale and still had a couple left for me that I put in another spot. It just about did me in!! I did take a piece out of the outside of a couple of them this spring for my daughter and maybe next spring I'll work up enough energy to tackle it.

Wow, they must be huge!!! You could rope them and tie the other end to your bumper.
My husband actually did that one time to a 20 year old boxwood with a disease, it had to come out somehow. LOL.

They are huge and as long as they stay healthy I guess I'll just leave them be. I did learn my lesson though and now I separate my other hosta before they get so big!
