As a comment about Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum 'Casa'), banker07 wrote:

I guess that S. 'Casa' has to look totally different; I can't believe the photos here were showing the right plant;

the breeder Martin Haberer is a good semps-friend of mine and we get this plant from him directly; furthermore his description won't fit to the photos here....

I will load up our photos to the database;

I greatly appreciate your comments. Since you have the original semp, can you write a brief description of 'Casa' at different times of the growing season? Do all of the photos in our data base appear to not be the correct Casa? I do know for a fact that those of us that do have Casa in our collections, have received the semp from different sources.
Thank you so much, Peter. I feel it is very important to have "things correct".

I have to watch it around the year - not done before; it's difficult to keep 1.500 cultivars in focus over the year ;-)

but I can try to translate the short-discription of Martin himself:

Ros. 7 cm (about 2,8''), lightbluegreen, inside red, broad leaves

on the photos I can see some small and long leaves....some red at the outside...some yellow....

I can't imagine one of it turns to the right appearence Sad

Peter, on your site it shows it in June, July and Aug. http://sempervivum-liste.de/Se...
Horst's site obviously shows it at least 2 other months. http://translate.google.com/tr...

Mine, tabby and Sandi's are definitely not the correct plant. I actually don't have this one in my collection, the photos are from PO. But there's looks even different from the the other three. Sad

My Casa is from SMG. I don't remember exactly where Tabby obtained hers but I can ask. I think it may have been from Simply Succulents

the most photos show the wrong plant; that's not Casa - that's Casablanca (very similar to Adamina);

this confusion happens long ago... Crying

@picklepuff @valleylynn @banker07 Hi all, I have this plant called 'Casa' which I bought from SMG, did we decide it is 'Casablanca' yet? Or is it simply a NOID?? (I'm hoping its 'Casablanca' because what a pretty name for such a pretty plant!!)
Cheers and thanks
I tip my hat to you.

Hi Greg;

the wrong Casa is very similar to the right Casablanca - but it's not sure... :-(

we know that a lot of NOIDs are similar to known cultivars; but there is a risk that it's not the same genome;
