Can someone help me figure out how to grow them? I tried last yr. planting the bulbs I ordered, but after 6 months they hadn't changed. Any suggestions? Thanks

A shallot is a form of multiplying onion (cepa var. aggregatum,) They do best in most areas planted around the time of first frost altho they can be planted in early spring). Most common problem is setting the bulbs too deep. Stick them into the soil with the top of the bulb stick out. Like the common onion, variety is important as they are daylight sensitive.
