My daylilies are mostly at peak bloom, but what is odd is they started earlier this year, but are peaking at the normal time. My early bloomers started about a month ahead of schedule. Some of my lates are blooming now too, and still many mids have buds but haven't opened yet. Very strange year here too.

I'm taking lots of photos every day and in the last week it's been taking 4 hours to take them all. When things slow down I'll start posting some of my pics. Just haven't had the time to resize and name the photos yet.

I would have to go out and take some which I haven't. The mosquitoes are so bad I don't dare step out the door. I've already had my eye swell when just trying to dead-head quickly. Had my hand balloon from a spider bite (and I was wearing gloves!). It's so bad here this year and I am so allergic it's pathetic.

Sad too, because this is the best my flowers have ever looked and I hardly get to go out and enjoy them.

Since I made the database, the Daylily Cubit jumped from having fallen off the list of the top 5 in Gardening and in Specific Plants to being #2 in gardening and #1 in specific plants. I didn't realize how much having a database counted! I hope to get back to it this weekend and get it opened up so everyone can add to it.

Warrell Seedling I got last year. Center has a bluish tone, sepals always quill. Can't wait to see this as a clump!

A Little Fire Scarecrow - color is more red than this shows. Tried to color correct it, but it does not look right.

Piece Of My Heart - more to show bud count than the flower....

Doppler Effect - an old John Peat that has the raised ribbing I love. Some call them nostrils, some embossing.... some sculpting, some carving.
