This is a hybrid so if you saved seeds from the fruit of this plant they will not grow true. Smiling

Welcome! to ATP mjkehenning!

There may be someone on the Plant and Seed Trading Forum: http://garden.org/forums/view/... who'd be interested in seeds from your Capsicum annum 'Galaxy' even if it is a hybrid.

Yes, Lin's suggestion is a good one! I don't know about Capsicum particularly, but I have had seeds from other hybrids turn out looking very close to the parent plant. Not always, but sometimes!

Peppers are highly promiscuous and that's OK but If your going to save seeds from it and trade or give them to others it would be best to go ahead and call it a cross because if the blossoms were not bagged your pretty much going to get a cross if it was grown within a quarter mile of other pepper plants. I have some wonderful peppers that came from crosses and I love them, but I don't call them by the original peppers name because they are no longer that pepper.

And Hybrids won't grow true even if you bag the blossoms.

Please, is this Galaxy Capsicum that you are growing an edible pepper or an ornamental?
