Went to the first meeting of the year at the Pensacola Club this pass Monday evening and had the pleasure of meeting tink3472, not at all what you would expect, she's really a nice lady. She seemed to enjoy the meeting and even brought a friend with her. The Pensacola Club is 90% female so hopefully they made her and her friend feel welcome and they will return.

What do you mean not at all what you would expect? Glare LOL.
Oh yes, I enjoyed myself and will definitely return. My friend did also. Now if I could just get hubby to come.
I'm sure I will learn alot from everyone.

Isn't it fun to meet the people we only know online!

I used to be able to go to all kinds of daylily events - Chattanooga, the Region 2 Symposium, regionals - it was a lot of fun to meet all the people I "talked" to on the robin and other places online.

There are about five males so I am really only 2%. The Pensacola Club is not in my region but its closer than my Mobile club, I had been a member for many years. I stopped being a member for about five years because of the leadership(dictators) had caused the club membership to drop to nothing. Since starting back last year, with all those female officers the club is really thriving. Most of them I had never meet, and they all turned out to be very committed to daylilies and the club. The men really have to do nothing because the ladies volunteer for everything. They do let me talk a little, I guess at my age they think I can't do much and thats fine with me.

Oh yes I will. I got most of them planted today, which finished filling up my new 40' bed. The rest will be planted tomorrow in another spot I cleared out on the side of the house. I can't wait to see them bloom next year!!! Thanks again Kathy.
