David Kirchhoff posted on the Daylily Robin a couple of days ago that his partner Mort Morss' beloved twin sister, Marilyn, suffered a massive stroke.
I just got word this morning that she passed away last night. She was a beloved member of our daylily club, a sweet, soft spoken, cheerful woman with a warm and infectious smile who will be sorely missed.

Mort recently introduced a beautiful daylily that he named after is sister.

(something funky with their website, links don't seem to work right, if you Google Marilyn Morss Johnson, you get the Daylily World website)

I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
It is always so hard to lose someone but during the holidays it seems so much harder.... I'm sure her memory will live on especially because or her namesake.. what a beautiful way to remember someone...the flower is beautiful

I never met Mort's sister, but if she was anything like Mort, I am sure she was a joy to know.
