This is a very jolly forget-me-not that naturalizes in my Pacific NW garden - pops up here and there in no particular pattern. Blooms Apr-May, doesn't get much taller than 8", true blue. When it gets ratty, I pull it out, so I assume it self-seeds. I'm trying to add this to my plant list but am baffled at all the choices, with very few pictures. If anyone has a clue I'd be grateful.

Lin, I opened that link and lo and behold I had already posted this very photo on there some time ago. So hopefully at that time I did my research and am reasonably certain this is the correct place for this. I'm in the midst of going through my personal plant list, trying to get it all in order (fall/winter project) and sometimes I don't have full names.

I can't tell if the centers are yellow or not? If so, I would agree with the Myosotis ID. If they are white, it could be an Anchusa. Either way, it's completely awesome!

The centers are yellow near as I can tell. I do love this plant, it self-seeds itself and I never know where it will pop up. Sometimes I get a whole drift of them, other times just spots here and there. I love the bright pop of blue wherever it lands.

Self-seeding sounds like a Myosotis, and AFAIK, the yellow is definitive. I have the more common Myosotis and it's welcome to 'pop' wherever it wants to too! No idea where to find more unusual perennials like Anchusa since moving to AL.
