For seeds? And still two days left in the auction? Wow!

I can 'see' an angel figure in the center of Angels in Newtown. Nice gesture. Lovey dubby

Wow those seeds are made of 24 kt gold. In my eyes, the parents of the seeds are kind of ordinary looking for those prices.

I would be careful. For 138 dollars they are probably magic beans. Watch out for giants!

I was quite surprised to see seeds going for that much, too! I failed to see the value of them. What am I missing by looking at the bloom photos that were posted for that LA seed sale? They looked kinda plain to me as well.

I can't fathom that for seeds and the auction still has about 2 days to go! I wonder if it will hit $200 for those 7 seeds?

I suppose if you bought the plants, it could be pretty expensive. Rich apparently has a good reputation. It was HIS bonus seeds that I received (with my auction win) that germinated within 5 days after I received them. He does create some interesting crosses!

I think some of them are also buyers that do not have access to the plants due to phyto rules. Buying seeds is really the only way to get at some of the genetics. But yes, I saw the Tet HAI listing earlier today. I was floored. Though I am sure people would be surprised at some of the things I opt to spend my money on. Besides daylilies of course! Rolling on the floor laughing

I too will vouch for Rich's seeds. I have several that are growing up right now and 6 of the 7 were up within days.

When I sold seed last year over half of my buyers were from other countries and it is really the only way to get newer daylily genetics (or even older ones) to some of these places. Some countries don't allow any plants shipped in at all so even if the person wanted to buy the plants and pay the phyto fees they wouldn't be able to due to regulations.
It is always a crap shoot when buying seed on getting keepers if that is what you are looking to get out of the seeds but if genetics is what you are wanting then it really doesn't matter sometimes what they look like first generation because you will take the seedlings on to the next level.
