Welcome , Judy! Welcome! Welcome! Very happy you have joined ATP. I have brought seeds from you in the past, now happy seedlings.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Polston. James Hall told me via email, and I think Michelle also mentioned this on the forum, that Polston's intros take 2 yrs. to mature before James or Michelle can even offer them for sale on the LA. So after hearing about your experience, I get the picture. I rarely buy intros preferring to see pix from our members the following year. Then I will make up my mind whether to purchase or not. But I do buy a lot of seed crosses with Polston's toothy genetics in them.

Look forward to reading your insights here on the forum. Hurray!

What Alex said is correct. The ones we got this past late May or maybe early June we will not be able to divide until next fall due to them not increasing well the first season. Not all but some did bloom with a few buds and really short scapes. I got the dip collection and it has increased a tad bit better than James' tets but not enough to divide.

I did order 4 of Polston's toothy ones this year; there was 2 other ones I wanted but they were sold out already unless you bought the whole collection which I did not want.

I know they will be small but I am used to getting small ones from the Northern hybridizers.

Fun! I got the first three but opted for WINGS OVER THE RAINBOW instead of BEA'S AFTERNOON DELIGHT.
