@Trish and some of my children confronted me yesterday with a complaint that the front page for the Plants Database is too slow to load. Trish even told me that she doesn't click on "Plant Database" unless she is ready to wait. Blinking

So I did some performance optimization to that page this morning and increased its loading time. It used to take 30 jiffies and it now takes 3 jiffies. (A jiffy is 1% of a second).

While I was in there I also improved the layout somewhat. The new images and new comments are now side by side.

So if you were one of those who dreaded clicking to the front page of the database because of slow load time, dread no longer!!

Wow, not only is it faster, but I love the new layout.
Hmmmm, now what can you put in all that blank white space under the 'Comments'?

Nothing. The blank space is because there is an uneven amount of content because many comments are short. But if comments are longer (as they often are) then it'll stretch down further.

Anyway, there's nothing after the comments and images so it's not an issue AFAIK.
